Sclerotherapy | a safe and effective treatment for thread veins on the legs.  Using a very small needle, a solution, or sclerosant, is injected into the vein which damages the internal lining and causes the blood within to clot.  In time, the body then reabsorbs the blood and the vein fades!

A consultation is required before treatment and depending on the number of  veins present, 2-3 sessions may be required. It is important to note that whilst sclerotherapy is a permanent solution for the areas treated, it does not prevent new veins from emerging and so touch-up treatments may be necessary.

The use of compression stockings worn continuously for at least 3 days will  promote good blood flow and help to speed up healing.  You can be as active as normal following treatment.
